Health Assessment:

One of the first things that you will undergo when preparing for a medical abortion is a complete health assessment by your doctor. You will be asked about your situations, your medical history, also any past pregnancies. Your physician will discuss your health status, your options, and the risks of the process. Ultrasound Scan:

After undergoing a complete health assessment, you will go through an ultrasound scan. The ultrasound scan will show how far along you are, the size of the fetus, etc. If your gestation period is less than 10 weeks, then medical abortion is the best option for you. Before you buy abortion pill, ensure whether abortion is right for you.  You will have a lot of cramping and bleeding after you take the second medication at home. Therefore, plan ahead accordingly, to make the procedure more comfortable. Decide a time when you will have some privacy and can rest for a while, and have someone you trust with you (or nearby), which you can call for support if you need anything.

Stock up food, books, or movies, maxi pads to help pass the time, and a heating pad for cramps. Ensure you have some pain medication- avoid using aspirin as it can make you bleed more.

Fasting:

Having a medical abortion, you will be recommended to adopt a certain diet. For instance, before and after taking abortion pills, you will be advised to have light food, plenty of water, more fluids, or energy drinks. Women should not drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to the first tablet and until 24 hrs after the second medicine.
